5 Beauty Things I Loved in May

IMG_C25F096F0B11-1Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser
This is the kind of cleanser that actually makes me want to get out of bed in the morning for the sole purpose of washing my face. It’s light and refreshing, smells *amazing*, and makes my skin feel super smooth. (Honorable Mention: The brand’s B & Tea Balancing Toner, which I apply right after the cleanser. Also, I think I ‘get’ toner now.)

Erborian Bamboo Crème Frappée Skin Reviving Fresh Gel
I’ve got oily skin that will break out if I so much as look at it, so when it comes to moisturizers, it’s nothing short of a beauty miracle if I I don’t break out from testing a new one. The name here really says it all — it feels invigorating and has a sort of “whipped”, airy texture that my skin readily drinks up.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize in Marie Antoinette
I can never get enough of gilded, cool-toned gold shadows (they’re my go-to neutral) and this one is quickly emerging as an all-time favorite. It’s light years more pigmented than any other cream shadow I’ve ever tried, and takes all of two minutes to apply.

Tatcha Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen
A lot of my beauty editor friends swear by Tatcha’s blue tube of SPF, and now I totally see why. It’s heavier than the fluid or gel formulas I usually reach for, but didn’t break me out once. And it’s almost like a primer-sunscreen hybrid; I’ve applied my BB cream/foundation directly on top and it doesn’t move all day.

Eve Lom Cleanser
This Eve Lom Cleanser has me reaching less and less for my Clarisonic because the muslin cloth steaming/cleansing method makes me feel like I’m really pampering my skin, and I swear, my face looks brighter right after I step out of the shower. Magic? Yeah, probably. (Or just a very good formula.)

P.S. How gorgeous is this Priyanka Chopra cover of Glamour? (Technically from June, but too good to not share.)
